Modern Features Available on Today's Pipe Organs

Better control makes better music. Congregants who come to worship each week and on special occasions will enjoy the finest music possible when a true musician comes together with a magnificent instrument. Complete control over your pipe organ is a prerequisite for consistent performance. The greater the quiet responsiveness, ease of use, and note & stop action speed of your pipe organ, the greater your performance will be.

Upgrading your older pipe organ with a modern control system provides many new features which will significantly improve its responsiveness, capacity of expression, and reliability. These features are both affordable and easily available for most churches. Parts and service are easily and promptly available as well. Here are some features of the modern pipe organ, designed and crafted to meet the rigorous demands and high standards of musicians today.

    COMPLETE CONTROL OF STOPS

Quiet, reliable operation by hand or through pistons.
Many general, divisional, reversible, and special purpose pistons may be included.
Set pistons, tuttis, and crescendo patterns from the organ bench quickly and easily.
Drawknobs, tongue tabs, and rocker tabs have a high quality toggle "feel".

    COMBINATION ACTION

Individualized piston settings (separate memory levels) for each organist and each musical piece.
Piston Sequencer allows lists of piston pushes to be prepared in advance. Manual Transfer control reverses Great and Choir keyboards.
Pedal Piston Couplers selectively include pedal registrations on manual pistons.
      Programmable Crescendos.
      Programmable Tuttis (Sforzando pistons).
Registrations may be changed instantly at any time.
"Blind" reversible pistons allow features such as a Zimbelstern to be added without additional drawknobs or tabs.
Use "Settable" reversibles to make any group of stops reversible "on the fly".

    MIDI

    (See "About MIDI")

      Record/playback of performances.
Interface with a computer to transcribe and edit music.
Recordings may be interchangeable between organs.
Play electronic musical instruments from a pipe organ console.
Tune and transpose electronic instruments to match the pipe organ.

    CONSOLE FLEXIBILITY

Consoles can be easily moved between locations in the room thanks to small, plug in cables connecting the console to the pipe chambers.
Two (or more) consoles can be used simultaneously or alternately to play the same organ.
Controls are designed to be intuitive and thus easy to use.
Low power electrical systems are safe, quiet, and reliable.
Additions and changes to the specification can be made later if desired.

    TRANSPOSER

      Automatic transposition to different keys

    SOLID STATE SWITCHING

      Notes play quickly, precisely, dependably.
Virtually no moving parts to wear, break, or need cleaning or adjustment.

ELECTRONIC 32' AND 16' PEDAL EXTENSION VOICES

Extend pedal ranks when the largest of real pipes won't fit or are too expensive.

    SOLID STATE SWELL SHADE OPERATOR

Smooth, quiet control of shades at the organist's command.

    CHIMES

Modern, innovative striker action design eliminates problems often experienced with older chimes sets
